SYSTEMATIC: Next CD Will Be 'Very Straightforward And Very Intense'
October 31, 2002San Francisco Bay Area metal act SYSTEMATIC have finished recording the drums and arecurrently laying down guitar and bass tracks for their as-yet-untitled sophomore CD, due in early 2003 through Elektra Records. The album — the group's first to feature ex-SLAYER drummer Paul Bostaph and former ECHO 3/MAXIMUM PENALTY bassist John Mark Bechtel (a.k.a. Johnny Chow) — is being produced by Howard Benson, who has previously worked with P.O.D., MOTÖRHEAD, SEPULTURA and CRAZY TOWN, among others.
"This is going to be a great album — very straightforward and very intense," guitarist Adam Ruppell stated via the band's official web site. "Some of the song titles so far are 'I'll Get By', 'Not Like You', and 'The Water Cure'. Please remember these are working titles and can change at any moment. We're very aware of what's going on in music and we're trying to stray away from that. I believe there's going to be a song for everyone on this album."
